This is ‘half’ built dinky dinghy shell. The work so far was carried out 20 or 30 years ago and comprises two layers of veneers over a an arrangement of hardboard and laths to form the shape. This has over the years warped and buckled – this will have to be corrected before continuing with the build. . There are also gaps between the strips of veneers and some veneers have dried out and split.

The shape of the transom and stem may need some reworking to match the standard Dinky dinghy.

The dinghy is undercover at Market Harborough.
