And so, it was over. Well nearly.
We three crew got the bus to Hyeres, where we had used AirBnB to reserve a trendy looking flat. Heyeres is a charming town. And old, walled centre surrounded by the inevitable growth of shopping and residential areas. We explored all aspects, including some of the bars, before making for the apartment. This was beautifully appointed with designer furniture, and very well equipped / stocked. The owner had vacated to stay with his Mother so that we could use it.
Then into the old town where we found a great little bar with a live trio, good beer and food.
And so ended the trip.
Of course there was the pre-booked train journey home. Jez had rearranged his tickets so that he could travel with us on the Saturday. Except that when we tried to get on the platform it transpired our tickets were for Friday. Quelle domage! But we sorted it out and had an uneventful return to normality.
Atalanta Mary was back in the UK, at Suffolk Yacht Harbour, a couple of weeks later for the adventures to continue………..

The crew continued by train to Hyeres from where there were going to pick up the train home. We will gloss over mistaken dates and having to buy new tickets.
