More ambitions than time/capability! And now deteriorating health preclude restoration by me.

I cannot remember when I rescued the Duckling but it remained stored under cover until the Duckling World Championship 2022 was proposed. At that point I made good the exterior and purchased new sails as per the invoice from Jeckell’s, we sailed the Championships unsuccessfully but were possibly the only father (75 years of age) and child (48 years of age!) crew to race! We could not determine a hull or sail number so “100” visible on the sail is the sail number of Jaunty A100, the mother ship.

The exterior was stripped, the brass bits around the dagger board removed,  the screw holes plugged. There was one small piece of laminate that needed replacing before the whole exterior was epoxy sealed, two pack and then single pack varnished

The Duckling was then returned to store, she has not been sailed since and no work has been undertaken on the interior,  rubbing strakes or spars.

So on Duckling in need of TLC complete with original oars, rudder, tiller, spars and fittings plus virtually new sails and buoyancy bags.

No trailer and collection from High Wycombe.
