The AOA 60th Birthday East Coast race will again be held around the West Mersea Regatta. The 2017 event was well attended and in our 60th Birthday year we hope to go even bigger in 2018.

We aim to meet in West Mersea for the Friday night so that we can race on Saturday morning. Following the race, there will be a get-together (both boat crews and others who are unable take part in the racing) in the West Mersea Yacht Club, before watching the 2100hrs firework display.

As last year we will aim to fill all of the boats – so don’t worry if you cannot get your boat there, you can take part!

hi nick –

I read that y organize the west mersea race

we joked about it at the anual meeting in january – come over and join us, even without ‘hiran’ – I am keen to join.

I would like to come over with the harwich ferry (on my motorcycle) to be guest on one of the atalantas. when do I have to be where?

can I organize b&b or a small hotel nearby – I can use booking com or HRS? maybe y can give me a hint how to organize myself.
