This boat was built by my late father in the early 1960s. He bought the hull and the plans direct from Fairey Marine. Sadly, it never saw the water and has been stored in the garage roof for the last 60 years.
It is complete as a rowable tender. It doesn’t have mast, rigging, sail, dagger board or rudder blade but has the rudder mounting ready for a blade and tiller.
As seen in the photos, it is beautifully made with hand crafted laminations in the corner pieces and would make a fantastic tender for a classic yacht or motor cruiser, especially a Fairey.
It comes with all of the original Fairey plans and instructions, dated 1961. It wouldn’t take much to bring it to a sailable state.
The dinghy is located near Christchurch, Dorset and can be viewed.
Collection only. There is no trailer so a buyer would need to organise transportation.
This boat must be pretty unique and is effectively a brand new classic. It is listed as “new” because it hasn’t been used.
