Purpose made trailer for an Atalanta 26.
A142 Sugar Plum has been transported from Aberdeen to the West Coast of Scotland every year (and back!).
- The weight of the keels is taken onto the central cradle when the boat is loaded.
- This trailer has never been immersed in water.
- It is stored in a building except when in use.
- When ever the boat is loaded for more than twelve hours the weight is taken off the tyres and suspension by the trailer being supported on axle stands.
- Five new tyres three years ago.
- It has a payload of two tons which is the wight of the Atalanta 26 with the weighty inventory items removed.
The trailer has suffered damage to the aft cradle, hit from behind, but is other wise fully serviceable. (The Jaguar XJS came off worst!)
My local blacksmith can make the structural repairs for about £400. ( I not sure whether that is with or without VAT!).
A new light board will be needed.
It is for sale for the price of the repair and a chunky donation to the RNLI, I want no money for myself.
If there is no interest within four weeks (mid September) I will be putting it to the local auction.
The trailer is located near Aberdeen.
