I left the boat at Bossoms while I went back to work and to buy my time before Trad.  It is a nice place to be with good pubs and a fine place to wake up in the morning.

I did manage to get back one weekend to tidy stuff up and to make the little way up to Godstow.  I had fanciful ideas of putting the sail up and ghosting along but it was very shallow and by myself I could have gotten into trouble.  Probably best done in a Fairey Duckling.

When the time came to move on I set aside a weekend to head down to reading where I had booked another couple of weeks but close to Henley.  I took a dog who whilst I am sure he liked the swim was not sure about the boat.  But we have had him for some time and he can be spotted in one of the Atalanta event videos, on a crowded boat.

The weather was lovely and we stayed by the side of a lock next a field.  A quick dip in the morning and it was all looking good.  Further on, One of the locks had silted up and I almost had to stay on an extra day.  But they managed to clear it and I must say a big thank you to the lock keepers and those within the Environment Agency who are working hard to keep things running.

I had sorted out staying at Tingdene Marina and moored up.  Next day I took the train back to Oxford to pick the car up.  It was a scorcher of a day and we enjoyed another quick dip at Port Meadow before heading home.
