I had a day in St Kats and as you can see the weather was brilliant.  I caught up with a couple of friends and replenished victuals.  There is a Waitrose across the road.

I also needed to drop the mast and tie things down.

I left on an early locking not knowing how long it would take me and knowing I had to make the wier at Richmond and the lock at Teddington.  As the tide was high I could pass over the wier at Richmond but above this is still a bit tidal.

I have come to learn that the stretch between London Bridge and Hammersmith bridge is a bit of a washing machine with fast ferries and “spine shortening” Thames experiences.  Once past Hammersmith it becomes calmer.

I got to Teddington and through the lock.  There were public moorings just past the lock but as they were just across from the wier it was quite noisy.  But I found a pub and a toilet and all was good.

A note on the subject of toilet; as people swim in the upper Thames I never “pumped out”.  I was able to get by on a small holding vessel and toilets provided by locks.  I know it is too much information but it is worth stating.
