Sailing! Initially under genoa only and then as the wind drops the Spinnaker. We make Alassio a short hop down the cost for 2pm and it is deserted. We eventually raise someone to provide fuel before mooring up to a very high harbour wall. It is a long walk into Alassio which is spread down an equally long beach covered in regiments of beach chairs.
Alassio is known for its walls of tiles bearing the signatures of famous people. We spend some time looking at these before eating at a restaurant where the proprietor entertains with his knowledge of the UK / London / Norfolk.
Returning to the marina we can’t walk past the Galleria L’Image and spend a happy hour looking around. It specializes in original posters.
