Spring Get-together, Lake Windemere

Building on the success of the Bristol event last year, the AOA are getting together at the Windermere Jetty Boat Museum in Bowness-on-Windermere, over the weekend of 16 – 17 May 2020.
This is primarily an event without our Fairey boats, but some of us are taking small boats so if any owners wish to take their Fairey or other boats to Windermere, that would be an added bonus.
The event is open to all – Members of the AOA and others.
If you are able to arrive earlier, there is a once a day Boat Conservation briefing at 11am.
After lunch we plan to look around the WJBM galleries and boathouse. Then some will sail their own boats on the lake, some might want to take the Heritage Boat Trip on board Osprey, a fully-restored Edwardian steam launch.
We plan to have dinner in a local pub from 6 pm onwards.
