I’m very pleased to report – we are sailing again. Me, my kids and my friends Colin and Ross have just been out this afternoon, after sailing Zambra round to Queenborough on Monday.
We had some false starts, and an incident with a seacock nearly sunk (!) the whole project but with a bit of a final push, we’re out of Conyer.
The new mainsail, rigging and feathering prop seem to have improved her sailing abilities, and she was absolutely sparkling along.
The kids came to this afternoon, and fun was had by all.
The engine has settled in now, good old Perkins, starts on the first turn of the key.
We’re all looking forwards to a great season.
