I have successfully had A115 lowered on to her new trailer and moved from Warrington down to her new home in Stone in Staffordshire, where I can really get going with the restoration at Stone boatyard. Now the hard work really begins. Hull and decks to be stripped and restored.
Access to the boat and power was always a problem at the other yard. Looking forward to having her in the water next year. I have removed most of her metalwork and all ready for some hard grafting to strip the deck and hull.
The move went well and towed perfectly. This was the first time she had moved since 1996.
There are a couple of soft spots in the hull just forward of the diagonal bulkhead, most probably due to standing rainwater inside her, prior to my ownership. Apart from that she is sound everywhere else. She has been dry for 2 years now so its time to get cracking with the restoration.
Robbie, good to see your photos and look forward to following your progress!
