Amber Ellen could be an excellent example of the Atalanta 26 but requires extensive finishing and some woodwork repairs, mainly to the decks and cockpit. She benefits from many unique modifications including wheel steering (dismantled) and tubular stainless steel toe rails.
A161 left the Fairey Marine factory in Hamble on 23 February 1962 and was the Boat Show demo boat that year. In the mid-1990s, she was given a 3 year rebuild with extra lamination layers fitted along with the unique wheel steering. She moved to Scotland in 1995, where she remains today.
The Atalanta Owners Association (AOA) are acting on the owners’ behalf to find a new owner.
The AOA has a wealth of information and Members to assist the new owner in their task. Atalanta restoration is a well-trodden path, and well with the capabilities of an enthusiastic amateur. The AOA is also able to assist with transport from her current location near Ullapool within the UK.
