We’ve nearly stripped the whole boat now, and found a few ‘nasty’ bits of rot, but some other bits are really looking much better!
And it won’t be long till we start getting new bits of timber attached. I just hope that this mini renovation lasts a good few years…
I am now looking at using the existing engine, so I can re-use all the existing stern gear which is in good nick. I’ll probably do it myself, but if anyone can recommend a really good perkins engineer, then I might well be tempted.
Current ETA for launch – sometime in June…
Keep going Nick it will be well worth the time and effort, though I must admit she’s a bit bigger than mine!
