All over a month ago now. Here are a selection of the photographs from the events in August based around the Uffa Fox 50 event. The highlight was undoubtedly seeing five Atalantas, all in beautiful condition, alongside in Cowes. They drew many admiring glances and quite a few interesting conversations. Write ups to follow in the Bulletin this December.
The photographs are divided into the following groups below. Scroll down to browse them all or click on a section to jump straight there.
Clicking on any photograph will enlarge it and enable scrolling through the images from that section.
Note – there are many more, less Atalanta focussed, photos of the event on the official website photos page.

Cowes – Atalanta Moorings
The Atalantas were berthed in the marina at Shephards Wharf. Five in total, near to two vintage flying fifteens and for a while a small Fairey motorboat.

Cowes - Reception At Commodore's House
Uffa Fox once lived and worked in Commodore's House, converting the ground floor to a workshop. The organisers arrange a reception in the old workshop, sponsored by Dartmouth Gin. And very good it was too!

Cowes - The Racing
The highlight for many was the racing. Fleets of Uffa designed dinghies, the Atalantas and the Mary Lund. Mary Lund was the only other Uffa yacht that attended. Some of these photographs were taken by AOA members but some are from the official UF50 website.

Cowes - Classic Boat Museum
The Classic Boat Museum arranged a private viewing for participants in the UF50 event. The museum is a fascinating mix of active preservation and renovation amongst completed exhibits. Uffa dinghies but not yet any Atalantas.....

Cowes - Solent Cruise in Company
After all the excitement of Cowes the oldies (the Atalantas, not their crews) went for a leisurely cruise up and down the Solent. From Cowes we went to Lymington, Hamble, Gosport and then Chichester Harbour. This set us up well to attend or view the festivities for the Duckling World championships organised by our Patron Alistair Currey and his daughters. See the separate Duckling World post for photographs of that event.

East Coast Boats Passages South and Home
Three boats (A1, A102 and A124) attended from the East Coast. They had a great sail down. The return journey was hampered by 4 days of strong North-easterly winds but all made it home safely.
