During a particularly foggy damp day last week I was flicking through the history of the Atalanta when my attention was caught by a cautionary note that it’s possible to fit the rudder blade the wrong way round – as I have been for the last five years. (Photo shows incorrect orientation).

I have just never given this issue any thought before (even though a half model in my hall clearly shows the correct way) – it’s always looked ok but possibly with hind sight not quite right and may explain some of the weather helm in a blow? I will know by the end of the “summer”.

Just maybe I am not the only one…………?

I never noticed it at Beale Park, but I know it is better the right way, I did the same in 1984.
