Just three and a half weeks to 25th August – the East Coast Race and Supper at West Mersea.

We have three confirmed entries (one 31′ and the rest 26′) and two possibles. It would be great to have another boat or two.  The racing is not that serious (for most!) but more an opportunity to catch up with other Atalanta owners amid the most impressive West Mersea Regatta which sees modern and classic boats filling the entrance to the Blackwater.

We are all likely to be moored on the piles off West Mersea for Friday and Saturday nights providing further opportunity for swapping ideas and views on all things Atalanta, and even the Olympics and the Economy if you want!

And if you can’t make the race do try and come along for the supper – excellent Fish and Chips and pudding. It would be helpful if you could let me know in good time if you will be attending the Supper so that I can inform our caterers. That will be the Thorleys with A141 Rakia – many thanks to them for providing this service.

So come on. The weather will be brilliant and the company better!
