Need help getting more accurate offset measurements from the various plans A24167 A24168, A24200, C24229.

Does anyone know the reason why A24522 was made (new profile, half-breadth, & body) ?

Also, I’m trying to improve the lines by pretending there are chines at LWL, Sheer and other locations.

Any help with legible measurements from the offset tables would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Tim Mallette

Way, way overdue but I am in the process of completely lofting the later set of lines for rebuilding A146 (as in new hull and deck, have big pile of Agba veneer in shop downstairs).  One thing to note is that I believe the hull lines are lofted to the inner skin.

Am kicking myself as way back in 1985 when got A146 had a pretty complete set of full size drawings but they went walkabout.

I am lofting the hull in Aerohydro Multisurf.

I imagine they added the volume aft to correct a trim problem.

Will have to compare but are the offsets you have drawing A 24522?  I have the same problem as you reading the offset table.  Actually have worked with a drawing printed out at as best I can tell correct scale and working off the lines themselves but having issues with getting the exact dimensions.

The forward half of the boat should be the same.  Our boat is a 1961 build as best I can tell so definitely the later lines but plan on going inside at a couple of known points and confirming.

      Hi David:

Roger on the 24522, apparent date 1957 (hard to read). I cross referenced C24229, A24200, A24168 & A24167 attempting to reconcile the illegible dimensions. C24229 is dated 21-2-56 & has good info. for Sta 2,5,6, & 9. I failed to consider that the lines were altered during construction phases. Yes the offsets are to the inside of the skin with ~ 7/16″ allowance for the skin.

I took a bit of a break this summer, but Blue Goose is still in slings & under cover behind my house in

Deerfield NH. I put in stringers and some planking either side of the keel cases, also replaced the after deck

stringers and support frame for replacement of the upper transom. Still a nice land yacht even if she hasn’t

      floated in 20 years!

      Cheers,

      Tim
