KeymasterHi Doug
Sorry for delayed response.
You should be able to send a message to Mike using the ‘Website User Lists’ link in the list of links on the right hand side of the page.
This lists all users under ‘Members’ or ‘Non Members’. Clicking on the name of the person brings up their profile and their email address.
Your comment has reinforced a view that the home page is getting a bit full / difficult to follow. I would welcome ideas and suggestions to improve the website for users.
Let me know if this doesn’t work.
Cheers, Nick

So many reactions to your post.
Very glad Achates is active – A60 active in our 60th year!
Embarassed at the indexong on the site – should have been easier for you to find answers. Note to self for winter months.
Sorry to hear about the failure. Not sure this common – others may know better? And glad you have got it apart.
As to spare parts Ian Pollard is an obvious ‘Go To’ but i fear he has just left the country (nothing to do with you problems…)
Not sure if parts are still around from T12? (Another note to self to pull this all together on the site). Trevor Thompson might be a good person to contact – email via website or numbers/details in Yearbook.
Fingers crossed for a speedy resolution.

Ha Ha! Once we have you on the inside we like to lock you in!
But seriously, it is a rather annoying quirk that I have built into the site. I could easily not find a simple way of providing a log out button within the security approach I have adopted. In order to log-out you have to hit the ‘Logout’ menu item at the top-right of the screen and then additionally hit the ‘Logout’ link which appears on the right had side of the following screen.
Cumbersome. Sorry.
I put it to the bottom of the ‘To-Do’ pile but now you have mentioned it I will look at improving this. And thank you very much for the feedback – its good to hear about people’s experiences with the site, good and bad.
Cheers

Thank you for the pointer. Not only do I now know about Peanut but I have also fixed the problem which was preventing A31 entries in the bulletins from showing up on the boat pages. (Webmaster-error unfortunately). So, the indexing has been amended and Bulletin entries are now showing up on the A31 boat pages.
Other members may be interested to refer to the 1975-76 Bulletin (right at the back) where Wendy and Brian Burnett explain how Peanut came to be as she is. Wendy is the daughter of (then) Capt.Bill Urry of A1 Atalanta and A5 Diaphony fame. Wendy and Brian fitted out a bare A31 hull themselves to create Atalanta 31 number 12 …… but I am stealing their thunder. Have a read of the bulletin.Cheers

KeymasterWow. What a lady.
The history of our boats is littered with amazing characters and personalities – hopefully we can pull out a few for the AOA60-60-60 as part of our 60th Anniversary celebrations. Maybe Barbara Calder will qualify.
Cheers

KeymasterI like your ladder Richard, particularly the fact that you don’t need a dinghy to use it.
Could catch on!AOA
KeymasterThanks for the heads up. The promo video is, as you say, brilliant.
What we need is an Atalanta entry next year ………..

KeymasterTo further lighten it you could drill 1″ holes all over it with, say, 2.25″ between centres, then fill the holes with foam before the glass cloth. It would be light……
